The framework of ‘Matches’ is marked by local historical events. With on-site narration and choreography, it recreates the struggles inside and outside the sports arena and the collective anxiety and sense of powerlessness of the present. The stage is designed to make use of the environment of the two-level auditorium of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Theatre. The theatre will be transformed into a stadium, with the auditorium divided into upper and stage seats. The audience can choose to watch the game from the upper level with a detached perspective, or experience the shock of the game up close from the lower level.

《球賽》的框架正以本土歷史事件為印記，其以現場旁述以及動作編排，再現運動場域內外的角力，再現當下的集體焦慮與無力感。舞台利用香港文化中心劇場的兩層觀眾台的環境而設計。劇場將會轉化為大球場，觀眾席分上層座席及舞台席。觀眾可選擇於樓上冷眼觀戰，或於樓下近距離感受球賽的震撼。
